Last Saturday in August - where has this month gone?
I never have many purple fabrics or scraps in my stash so I am surprised how many blocks I have been able to make.
From top to bottom: 1.5” 49 patch block with a Roman Stripe block either side,
13 x Ticky Tacky houses
2 of each my the three sizes of Sailing Boats.

What a boat load of purple pretties! Looks like you are just having too much fun with your fabrics. I just love that wave fabric under the boat on the bottom right.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Cathy. Yes I like the wave patterned fabric too. However it catches me out with the flippy corners of the boat riding on the waves, though because I often find the waves are going vertically. However, I choose to ignore the mistakes and leave it as it is.
DeleteNice job of stretching those PURPLE scraps for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge!!
ReplyDeleteThank you. Yes, I had to cut into a couple of new purple FQs I had bought to bump up my purple stash a little.
DeleteCute boats with purple in them! Love the houses, too. There are so many fun things to be done with our little bits of fabric!
ReplyDeleteThank you. Yes I certainly had to eek out those scraps!
DeleteThat's a pretty big haul for 'not very many purples'!
ReplyDeleteLove those boats - are all three sizes going in one quilt?
Not sure how I’ll use the three sizes of Sailing boats yet. I’ll have a play with the blocks when we finish all the colours and then see what happens.
DeleteYou did a great job with purples... I think you have more of it than you realized!
ReplyDeleteThe most purple I had were some 2” batik squares a friend gifted way back before the Covid Lockdown.
DeleteLoving your collection. The top right block looks like the boat is in front of a huge waterfall
ReplyDeleteI see what you mean! Hadn’t thought that before. Waterfall created by me getting the fabric the wrong way round when I made the flipped corners if the boat!
DeleteFabulous finish to August! Love your sailing boats!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
